Hyderabad, August 2, 2024 — The School of Management Studies at the University of Hyderabad, in association with the Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI), successfully conducted an “Investor Awareness Programme on Financial Wisdom” today. The event aimed to enhance financial literacy and investment acumen among participants.

The programme was graced by Shri Venkat Nageswar Chalasani, Chief Executive of AMFI, who served as the Chief Guest. Shri Chalasani’s opening address emphasized the critical importance of saving, planning, and investing wisely. He underscored the need for financial wisdom in navigating today’s investment landscape.

The keynote speech was delivered by Shri Surya Kant Sharma, Senior Consultant at AMFI. Sharma captivated the audience with practical insights and real-world examples, urging students and scholars to begin their investment journeys early. He elaborated on key investment principles, including risk appetite, investment security, and personal goals—essential elements for sound financial decision-making.

The event, coordinated by Prof. Irala Lokanandha Reddy, Professor at the School of Management Studies, saw active participation from undergraduate students, faculty members, PhD scholars, and non-teaching staff. It concluded with a dynamic Q&A session, allowing attendees to engage directly with the experts, followed by a vote of thanks by Prof. Reddy.

This initiative reflects the University of Hyderabad’s commitment to equipping its community with the tools and knowledge necessary for effective financial planning and investment.
